I forged this from some of Aldo's W2. The blade is ground on my rotary platen for a slight convex grind. It was hand polished to 1500 grit in order to bring out the details of the hamon. The top edge is sharpened, but not as razor sharp as the cutting edge.
The handle is snakewood. It is held in place with pins and G-flex epoxy. It is sculpted and shaped to fit the hand well and polished to a nice luster.
The sheath is 7-8oz hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig.
Dimensions
Blade - 4 1/4" tip to handle
OAL - 9"
Price - $245 shipped to US.
I have this posted elsewhere, so the first timestamp to say "I'll take it!" gets it.
