Hi folks, :)

Here's a new one up for sale.

At a glance it looks like a lot of my fighters, but there's actually a little less belly in the blade, mostly because the tip is dropped much lower than what I normally do. When you combine that with the 0.340" thick blade  (at the ricasso) it gives you a bowie with tremendous chopping power. :)

The blade has miles of distal taper in it though, so while it's beefy, it's not heavy. At least IMHO.

-Forged W2 with as forged flats
-Differentially hardened with time/temp and polished to show transitions
-416 ss guard with copper and black G10 spacers
-Stabilized Red Gum Eucalyptus handle with dome ss pin

OAL- 15"
Blade length is just a hair under 9-3/4"
Blade width is 1-15/16" at the widest point

The false edge is long and wide, but not sharp. The spine and choil are radiused and sanded to 1200X. The guard is mirror polished on the inside of the lugs, and hand sanded to 800X on the perimeter.

$1175 shipped in the states, can ship int'l for a little more.

Thanks for looking :)

Weeping in my coffee! :p The bar has been raised.... 0.340" thick blade (at the ricasso) equals extreme distal taper ... Killer knife Nick:thumbup:

Excellent leather work Nick.... is it yours?

THAT'S HOW HAMONS ARE SUPPOSED TO LOOK!! So many over etch Hamons, but yours are stunning! Your attention to detail is inspiring Nick! I hope one day I can be at your level!

Amazing looking hamon, great job. Talk about upping the bar and throwing the clay out the window.

Thank you for the kind words guys, I really appreciate it!!! :)

Forge marks definitely seem to fall into either a "love it or hate it" group. The folks that hate it feel it looks unfinished and crude, the guys that love it usually feel it leaves a little history of its making and also gives it a "USE ME" look.

For me... well.... I just think it looks neat against the polished bevels. ;) :)

Thanks for checking this out guys! :)

Guys, it looks like this one is sold. I'll wait to mark it as such until I know for sure. :)

Thanks for looking and the kind words! :)

Thanks again guys! :)

I wanted to follow up and say this one is definitely sold, as it is on its way to Yorkshire. :)
