I was not really sure what to call this one. It is kind of like a guardless bowie, kind of like a fighter, kind of like a chopper. I guess it is up to you.
It is some of Hanson's W2 that I forged out a while ago. I clay quenched it for a nice hamon. The flats have been left with the forge scale on it, mostly because I like it. The spine is fileworked.
The bolster is black linen micarta and the handle is some really nice cocobolo. It is all held together with pins and acraglas.
The sheath is 8-9oz hand stitched and hand tooled leather. The sheath fits snugly inside and it it draws easily.
I really like the feel of this knife. It is well balanced and feels a lot lighter than it looks like it should.
Dimensions
Blade - 7 3/4 tip to handle
OAL - 12 5/8"
Price - $SOLD shipped to US. I prefer paypal but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
Oops, a little blurry.
