I have had this knife on here before, and it is time to move it. The blade is hand forged W2 that has been convex ground on a rotoplaten, so it is actually somewhere between a convex and a flat grind. I clay quenched it for a nice hamon, then polished it to 2000 grit to reveal it.
The handle is hemp wrapped, and epoxy soaked. I know it is not everyone's cup of tea, but I kind of like it. It provides great grip, and the Turk's head knot at the front adds a bit of purchase. I soaked the handle in boatbuilding epoxy, and it is incredibly strong and durable. I put leather under the wrap to add a bit of thickness to it. It really does feel good in the hand.
The sheath is hand tooled 7-8oz leather from Wickett and Craig. It holds the knife well, and allows it to draw easily.
Dimensions
Blade - 4 1/8" top to knot
OAL - 8 1/2"
Price - $150 shipped to US. I prefer paypal but will accept check or money order
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
