Here is some of Aldo's W2 forged out and clay quenched with a nice hamon. I was hand sanded to 2000 grit before etching to show the details of the hamon. The flats have been left with the forge scale.
The handle is some Mesquite burl that I picked up a while ago. I used mesquite because it is one of the most dimensionally stable hardwoods available. This particular burl looks nice also. It is held together with pins and acraglas.
The sheath is 7-8oz leather from Wickett and Craig. The sheath has been hand tooled and stitched, and the knife fits well and draws easily. It is designed for right handed carry.
Dimensions
Blade - 5 1/2" tip to handle
OAL - 10 1/2"
Price - $275 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
