This is some of Don Hanson's W2. It starts off in a 2" diameter cylinder. I cut off a cookie and drew it out into bar dimensions. I then forged the knife from the bar. The blade is clay coated for a nice and bold hamon. The bevels are polished to 2000 grit to show the hamon well.
The handle is bias cut micarta. I have a fairly thick hunk of old micarta. I can cut off pieces of the width of it, and use them for handles. It gives a nice look to the handle. I cannot tell the number of people that mistake it for wood. The pins are peened and it is all held together with acraglas.
The sheath is 8-9oz hand tooled leather. I stitched it on my machine (which I love!) The knife draws nicely and fits snugly.
Dimensions
Blade - 4" tip to handle
OAL - 8 1/4"
Price - $235 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
