Here is another W2 hunter, this time forged out of Don Hanson's W2. I have quite a bit of his left, and still use Aldo's. Anyways, this one is forged from a piece of W2 cut off a cylinder about 2 inches in diameter. The blade is polished to 2000 grit and is etched to show a nice hamon. The flats are left with the forge scale.

The handle is some desert ironwood I picked up not too long ago. It is nice and dense and polishes up well. It is held in place with pins and acraglas. I also put a lanyard hole in this one. It is sculpted to fit the hand well.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. The knife draws nicely and it is held in the sheath snugly.

Dimensions
Blade - 4 5/8"
OAL - just under 9 1/8"

Price - $250 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

Another great little knife. For anyone considering this style, it is a great size for general use and EDC.

I do love Don's W2. I have about 40 feet of it sitting in my shop right now that has been reduced to 1/4" by 1.5". I do wish I had some wider pieces to make larger bowies/fighters from....

Well, I forged in a distal taper, so the thickest spot is right up near the handle and it is about 3/16ths. Both the blade and tang taper out from there.

Matt, I'll take it. Please confirm that it is still available, and I will send PayPal.
Thanks!
Mark
