my favorite fighter thus far. This one has the best ironwood I've used yet, unfortunately my pictures don't show it off properly. Chatoyance galore. Maybe I should have Coop shoot this one....

Steel: W2, with hamon

Blade length: 8"

Total length: 13-1/2" or so

Handle material: desert ironwood

Guard: aluminum bronze

Thanks for looking!

I'd say you nailed that one - wow. Dramatic grinds, gorgeous hamon, beautiful wood - everything comes together very well indeed. Nice work Phillip.

I agree Phillip that this could be your finest to date, at least of your work I have seen.

In addition to Roger's list of attributes, your *precise handle to blade proportions immediately caught my eye.

Really nice job.

* I feel, the handles on a few of your previous examples of similar knives have been slightly too wide or too narrow in relationship to the blade. IMO, your handle is perfect here. Not only in a proportion to blade prospective but in material selection and in a ergonomic sense.

WOW....I like that VERY much. Killer blade shape and exquisite piece of ironwood. The spacers in the guard really add to the overall look too!

Pleasure seeing it.

The bronze in the title caught my eye, and the knife in the thread REALLY caught my eye. That is a realllly fine lookin' knife, beautifully proportioned and with curves in all the right places.

Really fine....closing in on perfection. ;)

Outstanding piece of work, Phillip. :)

Great knife and pictures. I think this is my second favorite of yours. My own being first, of course. The DI is exquisite as a previous poster has already mentioned. Curious about the choice of aluminum bronze. What does it provide over ss? I imagine it might be lighter, but is this the advantage?
