W2 Questions

I tried to search for W2 but got no results, probably because it was too short. I just wanted to find out a little about forged W2 as a knife steel. Good and bad, who uses it, experiences with it, that sort of thing. Thanks.

W2 is my favorite blade steel. It produces a super fine grain, super tough, high RC hardness, super hamon activity and super edge holding. All this of course, if handled properly. Really good stuff.

It's my favorite also....pretty much for the same reasons as Don's.

The only drawback is that it isnt being made anymore.
