This is some of Hanson's W2. It has been clay quenched and polished to 2000 grit before etching in order to bring out the detail of the hamon. It is honed to a razor's edge.
The bolster area is natural micarta bias cut to see the layers. The rest of the handle is white G10. Everything is held in place with pins and G-flex epoxy.
The sheath is 7-8oz hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. It holds the knife securely and allows for an easy draw.
