Finished this one a couple of days ago. It's a simple little skinner. I didn't go crazy with it because this one is for me and it's going to get used, yay! I wanted an abbreviated handle to fit maybe three fingers but it actually just fits four fingers comfortably. I basically didn't want any more handle than necessary to keep it compact. Let me know what you think.

Blade Steel: W2, finished to 1200X
Blade Length: 4" to the guard, 3.75" edge
Guard: 416SS with black G10 and stainless spacers
Handle: Black Micarta with 316SS pin.
OAL: 8"
Sheath: Kydex

Awesome design and execution. I'd use the heck out of that thing and I don't even hunt!

I have to say again, that is the prettiest knife I have seen this year. Your lines, craftsmanship, etc. are perfect.
How did you bring out that beautiful hamon?

Thank you everybody for the kind remarks.

Tom, the hamon is the result of not knowing what the hell I'm doing. :D I used Ferric Chloride for most of it then switched to vinegar but that didn't seem to do anything.

Matt, keep it on the DL. I don't want to start a trend. ;)

I think he meant you get to keep a nice one? I have all kinds of crappy ones :D

I too think that's a beauty !!! It is extremely practical as well. That I know from field use of similar shapes.
Totally salable by the way .
