• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

W2 skinner

Don I am doing a full Quench but line is coming from the way I am heating the blade I never cycle the heat into that part of the blade. How do I do this I use my induction forge. it works very well on W2. I can get a 62 rockwell on the edge with it

Dave, after a lot of experimenting with my elec oven, I went back to using my forge to heat for quench. I like to be able to see what's goin on while the blade comes up to heat. I heat the whole blade but I'm pretty sure the spine under the clay is not up to full heat. I have been looking close at one of those induction forges. Looks like the cats ass :)

Don I think you would like it I saw a blade you did and I thought you might have one as your blade had the same line in it as I get with my way. it makes crazy fine grain and and there is no better way to draw back a spine. there is some other things it helps with like welding on bolsters I could go on . you can get into one with a cooler for about 4G witch is a tho less then I spent the price has come down.

I'm in love with W2.
