I have 3 square bars of Don Hanson W2 left, roughly 1.5" square, 11" long. My bathroom scale says 19ish pounds. Will sell for $125, shipped. That's less than $7/pound for this very clean and hard to find steel.
I also have some 5/8" round W2 left. This is the OLD, good stuff that Aldo had before he became the NJ steel baron. Really good stuff, perfect stock size for hunters and a pleasure to forge. Sick hamon potential with this steel. I have a total of about 14 pounds (approx) of this bar which in 12 11" sections and 2 9" pieces which will fit in a medium flat rate box. I would sell this for $85 shipped (about $6/pound).
Or take all 33# for $200 shipped. Works out to just over $6/pound. This is the good stuff folks
