Darrel, I have round stock and could possibly forge some down for you. I have not found any W1 or W2 in flat stock under 1''. Just let me know.

It's not Enco, it's MSC. It's cold rolled, not precision ground, and they have it from 1/16" to 1/2" thick, but only 1" wide.

Darrel, 1095 will work for what we talked about but it would be my third choice behind W2 and W1.
P.S. The W1 from MSC that Phillip posted will work very good, I have used it myself.

Found some in round stock for a 1/2 inch $13.00 for 3 feet they had it up to 2 inches around here

I was on this site the other day and something is off with their specs for W1 and W2. They show W1 with 1. carbon and 1. vanadium, W2 with .86 carbon and .25 vanadium.
In reality W1 has little to no vanadium and W2 has .25,
Carbon in both can vary from .86 to 1.50 depending on how it was ordered.
