• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

W2-W1 steel? Who has it for sale?

If you can't find any let me know. I have some W2 from Mace that I could put into my press. You would have to surface grind it.;)

Darrel, I have round stock and could possibly forge some down for you. I have not found any W1 or W2 in flat stock under 1''. Just let me know.

P.S. I forgot about the flat W1 from MSC, I got some a few years ago but thought they quit carring it.

It's not Enco, it's MSC. It's cold rolled, not precision ground, and they have it from 1/16" to 1/2" thick, but only 1" wide.

Darrel, 1095 will work for what we talked about but it would be my third choice behind W2 and W1.

P.S. The W1 from MSC that Phillip posted will work very good, I have used it myself.

What size stock are you looking for? I have some from tremblay tool steel but it's a bit over 1/4 inch thick.
