waaay OT: recent events in my area

Wasn't there a pretty crappy movie in the latter part of the 90's call "No Escape" or something like that where they put all the really nasty crimals on an island that governed itself? Pretty cool idea,

I started to think one day about what kind of a person it took, what kind of mindset, for someone to rape or sodomize another person. I came up with nothing. It's just not concievable to me. I actually think that suitable punishment would be to lop off a select appendage. Even people with psychological disorders would think twice befor commiting sexual crimes with this kind of punishment.
 
The only punishment that makes any sense to me is termination, which I favor for those who commit any crime that physically harms an individual or deprives him of his life, liberty, or property.

This is a wide category and would include murder, assault, rape, vehicular homicide, robbery, and burglary. Some may consider this extreme, but it would remove a lot of garbage from our society which certainly could use a good purging.
 
naw, torture isn't really a good thing when you think about it. i say you take your really sick offender (proven guilty beyond a doubt of course) and have a good old fashioned banishment.

brand him visibly as a criminal, strap a parachute on him, than drop him in the middle of the antarctic.

i would also accept the middle of the pacific.

when you've proven that your an animal (but than animals don't do this do they) than it's time to set you loose, wild and free, and face judgement at the hands of mother nature. and if you survive, clearly someone up there has granted you a second chance.
