Woah, I finally saw them :eek: After I had given up too, I just checked the thread because I have no life and had nothing else to do :p

cool, I saw 'em. I dunno, I like the choil version better - but then again, I like them on most med-to-large blades. thanks for sharing. ;)

How thick ? please be 3/16 or thinner :D

I like the choil-less design as far as a user & for sure from sheath maker standpoint (those friggin choils on the thick knives drive me nuts)

But from a pure looks or Aesthetics point of view the choil looks nicer & flows better giving the knife a more pleasing eye appeal :confused:

With the choiless version, especially with the edge brought closer to the guard, I can close my eyes with a full grip and use the knife knowing that I wont have to place my cut. I can just put my index finger on the item to be cut, move back 1/2 inch and my edge is indexed. I can saw without any chance of the media hanging up on anything.

it's seriously a dream come true.


my comment about the palm swell is the only real issue I had with the badger attack (beside the choil). the difference between the swamp rat style and the tac handle really hinges on the severity of that swell. maybe on some hands it fits better then it does mine, but I found that the radius of it tended to bite into the metacarpels excessively if your gripped it really hard. not so with the flatter back of the harry carry (albeit a much smaller knife).

That front swedge is sexy but please don't make it too sharp as it eats up batons. The treatment you put the FBMLE is just about perfect. Also, please make the scales mag like on the Jackhammer. The SJTAC scales felt wimpy. 0.22" would be super nice. :D

The choil version looks awesome.
