how long does it take to get an ar when a dealer is out of stock? ive had one on order for 3 weeks and they keep saying they dont know when they are coming in. I need mine soon.

It depends on if your dealer has more on order or what.
Its really hard to say because I don’t know who has what.

It will be a while before we make more.

Try Matt Donahoe at Mdono21404@aol.com
I got mine from him and at the time he had others.
Do a search under his name on the Strider forum and he has a pager # listed.
Good Luck the GB is great.

I also reccomend Matt. I was all set to get a GB from Matt when this AR pretty much fell into my lap!

I plan to get a GB from Matt pretty soon anyway!

I cancelled with one stop knife shop yesterday and will order somewhere else since thye dont know when the ars will come in. Anyone know who has them in stock?

I have a feeling it might be awhile before ARs are readily available. I'm just guessing, but I think SnGs are the main priority at Strider right now.

Of course, GBs are out there. If you're like me, and wait for an AR, you'll be glad you did. The AR blade shape is superb, very usable. The AR blade sharpens easier than any blde I've ever sharpened, with the exception of my Sebenza. Sharpening a Tanto blade (the front edge) is a drag.

That said, I'm constantly fighting the temptation to buy a GB. The blade on the GB is my favorite Americanized Tanto blade, on a folder anyway. IMHO, Strider makes the best Americanized Tanto blades for folders or fixed blade knives. Period.

I've noticed that it do take forever and a day to do much of anything to the AR edge. I may wear out my Spyderco triangle sharpener before I do much to the blade! (not that it really needs it. I just like to fiddle with and fine tune everything)

Your best bet would be someone selling one. IF you can find someone who would actually want to part it an AR! I only got mine because the guy had the hots for a certain pistol and no money!
