Waited too long, but now which LG 21?

I've actually been watching the exchange much more closely since I made the decision to buy. But for me, the biggest decision is not where to go for desert, but what flavor? Big decisions are usually much easier for me than the little ones. [emoji16]. Crap, I'm a basket case. ;)

I'm still thinking you should get that UG. And when you do, post it in the Antecipation thread! :D

In my experience, the stainless damascus holds it's edge notably (if only slightly) better than S35VN but, it takes on a much more refined edge than S35VN will. The edge does seem to roll a little easier but I haven't been able to tell any other disadvantages over the last year.

If it's a user I would highly recommend a Large Micarta 21. If its Damascus you are after I would go with (already mentioned) a large micarta 21 with what ever damascus pattern you prefer. U.G.s are nice but you are going to be worried about scratching them as then all feels lost. Please believe me, I have been there. They are really great to collect but as a user do yourself a favor and pick up a large Micarta 21, you could even get my favorite. a Large Micarta 21 with a polished blade and all silver hardware.
But...we all know that the best edc ever made is the Large Regular. I would stalk the forums and pick up a nice one for around $500-$550 complete with original birthcard, box, etc. After you try a large regular with that deep belly on the blade and that just "feel" and smoothness, you will be hooked. I have always had one and will have one for the rest of my days. They are my definition of the "perfect" edc. Oh, unless you manage to find a Large Original with a Clip. Took me 2 years but I found 2 so they do exist. Now that is a knife that cannot be touched by any other.
Just my opinion anyways. :)

Brend, please understand that I respectfully disagree with you. ;)

Maybe, but I'm far from alone here. This knife looked this rough when I got it, I can't claim much of the wear and tear at all...
