I got three packages containing knives in the last two days, the one from NGK came UPS, the one from GPK came USPS, and the one from SMKW used both, UPS to my area, USPS for the final delivery. The shipping charges from UPS vs USPS were within about a dollar of being the same, and the SMKW shipping charges were $0 since the order was over $100. All packages were ordered the same day from similar distances away from where I live, NGK and GPK came on Friday, SMKW on Saturday.
I work for UPS, but unfortunately the packages I get delivered to my house come from a different location than the hub I work at, otherwise I'd try to intercept them in my building. Most of the time my packages do come through my hub on the way to the UPS package center they are shipped from, but as we have from 300,000 to half a million packages a day passing through my building, getting one package diverted to me is rather difficult. It kills me though when I'm impatient to get a knife to know that it is probably in the back of a truck on the other side of a building somewhere and I won't get it until the next day.
