Insulation? Looks like it could get mighty frosty in the winter months. I wish my shop was half that tidy.

I was going to say fire-extinguishers but then I saw one by the door. That's a heck of a shop, friend... bigger than my dang apartment! Cleaner, too...

Insulate like aktoklat. Then ask your electrician about wiring for a small furnace out there. Might be pricy but probably better in the long run than spacer heaters and/or working with cold hands. I don't mind being cool but once my hands are cold, it's not much fun.

Hi Vern

I saw the stove and crock pot, but it looks like you are missing the kitchen sink. :)

What else do you need ... Power hammer , hydraulic press, and a big party with all your fellow Iowa knife makers to break in that new shop:).

You can never have too many tools. :)

How could I forget - a dorm fridge! And at least one calendar with pretty girls on it. And for me at least, no shop is complete without a cat trying to attack your elbow while you're hand-sanding.

I know that it looks roomy compared to mine but common, do you really need a 4 wheeler to move around in there? ;)

what you dont see is tha wood stove and the other room.
power hammer is next. girls???
four wheeler with blade when it gets to messy .

I'm jealous of your workspace. But my furnace arrived yesterday. Haha.

files, you can never have to many, at one time i could have filled a 5gal. bucket with the files i had, still have atleast 20 or so on the bench at any given time.

With all that room, I would think about walling off a corner and putting the grinder in a separate room with some heavy duty ventilation. It sure would help keep the dust off things you don't want dust on. I love the size of the work bench and the drawers on top.

Looks great Vern! :)

While a press, hammer, rolling mill, etc. would be NICE to add... I would say from the pics that you would really benefit from more lighting. I REALLY like the flourescent shop fixtures with the daylight bulbs, and incandescent for task lighting.
