I posted a knife up for sale about 11-12 days ago on another forum. A guy sent me a pm and said he would take it on Oct 22. He sent me a pm stating that he had forgotten to send the money order on the 28th but would send it that day. He is here in Texas also so it should no take more than three days. I have sent him two PM's and no replies yet. He has been posting on different threads the ay I sent him the first reminder and no response. How long would you wait before reposting it up for sale again? :(:grumpy:

Post it today - Send him a link to that thread.

He has had plenty of time brother.

That is a tuff one Pancho . I would give it till the 4th of this month ( Wed.) to repost. Mail can be funny sometimes , but I would wait no longer . Then I would inform others to beware of this person .

Hmmm, life can be tricky. It's sometimes difficult to know what really is going on. Never-the-less, it seems completely within your right to re-list it for sale. Heck if the payment shows up before it resells, then no biggy. If it shows up after it resells, just return the check as the buyers is appropriately moved to the back due to delinquent payment submission. If it never shows up you just lost a week or two of selling time, instead of even more.

I'd just re-list it. 10 days is more than fair to give him a chance to of paid. Sounds like he either changed his mind and doesn't want to tell you that hoping that you'll just give up and sell to someone else or he really is that flakey and has that bad of a memory to send payment !!! For some reason, people just can't seem to tell the truth !!! and would rather just beat around the bush about stuff. Easy way to do this is like they do on ebay and put a clause that payment is due within so many days or you have the right to re-list the item. it's only fair to you not having to wait for someone that could be jerking you around !

I just sent him another pm telling him that if I don't hear anything by Tuesday night I will repost the knife for sale on Wednesday. This will be the third PM asking him the status of th money order or his intentions. I feel like I am being pushy, but a brutha needs to get supplies to keep on making stuff.

To paraphrase an old saying, "if you're still waiting, you're backing up".

A deal is only a deal within the time specified without further communication.

I don't think you're being pushy. Afterall, like you said, you need to purchase things with the money you make and possibly put food in your mouth !

I have run into a few people on here that like what you have described !

Thats the part of knife making that I hate, I dont want to be pushy
but there are times that I need the money to order supplies or I cant
make the next knife.

I think there are some people out there that just get off on screwing around
with knife makers.
