It will probably be a couple of months. I would try somewhere else. I just came back from the Bladeshow and several vendors had them in stock. You could try looking at gun stores around your area for them. I believe Benchmade's website has a feature to search for dealers in your area.

Waiting times for BM 42's seem to be quite random. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a 42 from The Cutlery Shoppe fully expecting to have to wait. Less than a week later, I received a note from them in the mail. It stated, quite politely, that they were out of stock and it would be some time before they could fill the order and they would send it as soon as they received their shipment.
Under the note was a box from The Cutlery Shoppe... with the knife in it. Go figure.

All i know is that i heard that www.americanoutdoorsports.com had bm42s in stock for $102... so i ordered one last saturday, and thanks to UPS tracking, i can see that it is now within 100 miles from me! It will be mine come monday!-
