Well, we won't hold that against you:)

What's the knife scene like over there? Is there shows, etc..?

Hi Cobalt!

yep! there is a "knife show" once a year in Paris, very big with a lot of Americans producer and Frenchs :)
The market in france is mostly oriented on smalls folder or fighting knives. We have Fred PERRIN who still surprise us with a lot of differents creations, allways simple, functional and efficient!
But otherwise the vast majority of people think it's crazy to use more than 100$ in a knife...
The laws are quiet good, you can buy ALL kind of knives including autos.
But unfortunately I'm stucked in Denmark where owning a one hand opening folder is strong prohibited... And where if you want to buy a knife with a blade over 4.75" you need a "edged weapon permit"... :barf:

Denmark is like the size of washington DC. hmmm, why don't you just move out of there and commute. I hate prohibitive laws. Nice to know that you have lots of shows out there. Fred Perrin has been well known here for a long time. I remember hearing about his knives many years ago. In fact he had a fighter design, whcih I thought was the coolest looking back then. Now everyone has that design.

As for the $100 + knife, that's normal here too. But that is true with anything. Some female coworkers of mine were talking about $400 scarfs the other day and I just about snorted my Gingerbread Latte. I told them that's crazy. then they reminded me that I don't think anything of paying over $1000 for a watch or a bike or a knife or...Ok, ok, I get it.:D

First of, Sir Skunk, The Danish Kringle Mafia has it´s sugar coated fingers all over the planet. We even have a few Great Danes in Idaho!!
Oli, If France is soooo great, why do you live her...? I know why... -Beer and the women, right?!!:D :p
ALIass

hahahahahahaha funny, all the guys I know who like nice knives generally like nice watches too!:D
yeah, Ladies tend to have another sens of values!
:)
About moving we seriously consider it with my wife! the Denmark look more and more to a Dictatorial country, the government sudently decided that people members of a shooting clubs are only allowed to own 1 9mm; 1 357 mag and max 2 pistols in 22... Guns and knives are not well accepted here, but pædofiles associations are legals! as are Nazi FM radios!
I agree with you about PERRIN. Actualy he got much more succes and understanding in USA than he got in France!

ALIass, you named it...there is soooooooooo many nice blond girls in Denmark... and I can't find "handcock beer" in france... :grumpy:

Ok, can you guys ship one over to me, for house cleaning chores. I'll treat her well and let her hold my INFI. My wife won't mind a cleaning lady say about 22 years old, 5'9", 38D-23-35, 118 lbs.
