Waki "moon" diameter?

Is the moon cutout on the end of the Waki perfectly circular, and what diameter circle would fit it if it is? What is the distance between the center of the two holes?

Holes are 1.25" apart on ctr and the moon is probably similar in size.

LOL. That won't work. There is no fulcrum for the lever to work - and it's probably (the Waki) too wide. You could definitely saber a champagne bottle with it.

Use your finger as the fulcrum (proximal phalanx of index finger) :thumbup: Same way you open beer bottles with another beer bottle, or a lighter, or any other object with a small enough edge to it. But yeah, it's probably too broad to work though.

Man, I'm really curious to see what this pommel does (if Eric wasn't playing with us ).

I really want to make something round and put it in the pommel, something slightly heavy. That could push the balance point right to where you grip the sword. Which would feel awesome.
