Should I order one? I'm asking here instead of the SR forum because I know everyone here and everyone in SR will tell me "yes!".

How does everyone use theirs? I don't want a wall hanging sword, I want something I can actually use and have it perform a task better than another tool.

The coolness factor is off the charts with it, but how is the utility factor? Tell me what you use it for and how it performs. Pics of users and videos are welcome.

I really want an AK or a ruck, but the prices on the secondary market are too huge to pass up a waki instead.

Of course get one! Then get an AK later.

I have mine on my wall. lol.. but it is a blast to pull down and abuse when I want to.

I want a "break in case of Zombies" case for it.

no idea what I'd use one for (or a Ruck or an AK either) but I've always wanted one.

but, alas, being that wall-hangers and safe-queens aren't my thing, I've resisted.

honestly, if I could find an actual use for one - I'd probably buy one promptly. ;)

they're super cool looking, but really - what does anyone use them for?

Me too!

I'm gonna be destroying some old and busted lawn furniture soon to get the house ready to sell, and I expect to put the Waki to good use for that one. Ought to make the chore seem some what less chore-like :D

Haha, MM I got the same book, the survival guide

Ninja bears, you will need it in case of ninja bears. Must I go through all the reasons why one would need an sword for again?

Get both. THe ruck can be yielded one handed. THe ak is better for both hands.

THe satin aks I think are an absolute necessity as part of a BOB. I have taken a couple4-5" caliper trees that were 30-40 feet and dropped em, de-limbed em, and chopped em up and put in a fire barrel all within 10 minutes or so just having fun. THey are long enough that you can walk along the length of the tree delimbing it while using the trunk as a shield to keep the blade from being able to get ya...All one handed with a beer or drink in the other hand and never have to bend over:) Im sure the ruck, and waki would do it too. I have em all and they are some of my favorite blades. Great choppers, great at briars, great ot batton and THey never run out of bullets and are a mcuh better size to move around in tight corners than a true katana. They are great around camp and make a formative weapon too boot.

My CGFBM surprises people when I camp with it....I can only imagine what kind of reaction a Waki or AK would bring. I am guessing fear and curiosity.

That all depends on who you camp with.

True....but in all honesty, I have never seen someone camping with a sword. I've been backpacking and camping for over 20 years now. I guess I need to hang around more Busse folk.

I've taken the waki to a campground at a popular rock climbing destination. I got some weird looks from people.

Whats the carry weights of the

Ruck
AK
Waki

????

I used mine when I didn't have anything else long enough.
A tree had grown into my phone line in the air outside, and I chopped the top off with a waki while standing in a ladder.
Great fun!

I brought my waki and a 20" Ang Khola kukri to clear a path this autumn, and found them to perform equally well.
It's capable of taking down quite large trees, as already mentioned.

And it's great for when the zombies try to take over :)
