This one was a custom order from a fellow forumite. The base was my Walkabout model, but larger...much larger. Also requested was a reinforced point, accomplished with an apple seed grind over a high (shallow) hollow grind. I think this would make an excellent boar/ wild pig hunting blade.

Waiting on the leather to dry, then time to trim and burnish the edges.

Looks good, and it isn’t all that honkin’ huge to me at all. That’s good edc size for me. Pig hunters have to at least be able to reach vitals without guesswork.

What are the dimensions? Doesn't look too large to me. You should make a few more of similar size and see how they sell. Very nice!

Apologize for the delay, just saw this. An apples seed grind is a convex grind at the tip, allowing for a thicker and stronger point that is still sharp. Mine is subtle. One of the best examples is Bob Lum's tantos.
