I'm gonna go with Glenn gets the bat. Not because of the comics but for some other reasons.
1. When the first cliffhanger with Glenn under the dumpster show runner Scott M. Gimple sent a letter to the talking dead stating Glenn would be back in the past present or future to finish a story line.
2. Second part. When the season 6 cliff hanger happened, again show runner Scott M. Gimple made another statement on the talking dead that the person killed by negan would finish a story line and propel a new storyline.
3. Another good point by Robert Kirkman was that they picked the person that would make the biggest impact on the storyline.
And lastly the talking dead will be running for an hour and a half after the show with all cast members that were present during that scene.
I could see it being Daryl, but Glenn is my official guess.
Thanks for the giveaway and good luck to everyone.
Glenn and at least one more, prolly Abraham and Eugene.
At the end of the preview Negan refers to the "people still alive". Would he say that if he only killed one of them?
I can think of many reasons that would likely make sense to Negan to put Maggie in the lead off spot. He wants people who can work, she appears to be dying. The group just went all over God's country trying to save her, so she obviously means something to them. He may know she brokered the deal at Hilltop.
My guess is Abe. He is one of 2 people to meet Lucille. So Glenn is #2. Something tells me Negan is about to smash Maggie and Glenn tries to protect her and gets it instead.
Yea, I agree that Daryl is going to be the one to get up close and personal with Lucille uGAshooter. At first I was thinking along what others have stated about Glenn and the comic, but I believe that would be too linear and too predictable for the writers of the show, and I think they are going to somehow put a spin on this moment. Let's remember that Daryl doesn't even exist in TWD comic universe; maybe this will be a good place to kill him off in the show to make room for other character introduction, even though Daryl he is my favorite character in the show.
Also, I don't know if it makes any difference, but on the sneak preview I saw it showed Negan talking to Rick and mentioning his "right hand man" / "right hand" (don't want to give away too much), but this also makes me feel Daryl gets it, among other things happening to Rick...
It follows the comics and it would be very Kirkman like. Glenn was once missing and then restored to the group. Killing him after Glenn returns to the group would be a very tough emotional impact for the group and for fans. Perfect Kirkman logic.
Always assumed it would be Abraham. Important enough to the show for some emotional impact, but not really part of the core group. Also, he's big and I think that's the kind of message that Negan would send.
My guess is Glenn. I'll be surprised if he isn't one of the victims (I think theres a good chance 2 people die, maybe Abraham, but Glenn is my main guess) I kinda hope Daryl dies though
Thanks for the chance! - I have a feeling there is gonna be a tie between a lot of people
