Walking dead kind of night

No disrespect in anyway intended with this post. Not sure how it is going to read so just putting it up there.

I have been hoping the T does not stand for token. He could be a really good character.I really like the black man and his son in the first episode and been hoping they somehow show up sense episode 1.
They have had enough of the group die off now that they really need a few more to join them.

I was thinking the exact same thing...token.

Welcome to the Bladeforums and the Busse subforum :)
I sense a trend in your TV show preferences... can't quite put a finger on it though :p

Hey,

Well ok you got me,,, i tend to gravitate towards the survival, action type shows, I also watch Survivorman etc.. When not in the shop at Velocity we like to get out and test the designs out in the field. Hopefully without the Walking Dead interupting it, but then there always seems to be the walmart shopping crowd at all the campsites we pick. So i guess thats close enough to the walking dead, hah

Holy smokes! What a show tonight. Can’t believe they killed off two main characters in two shows. I’ve got a theory that Shane had the virus and was somehow immune to it until death obviously. If you may recall, he cut his hand open in the bus only seconds after plunging the same blade into several zombie skulls.

What was the deal with Rich seeing zombie teeth\mouths after killing Shane? Was that to represent that rick has somehow now become a monster or was it representing Shane becoming the zombie?

I thought for sure that Carl was going to shoot Rick and had Shane not risen and moved towards Rick he very well may have.

People have mentioned their preferences for other shows. Besides the walking day and doomsday preppers my wife and I also religiously watch Spartacus. If others watch Spartacus this most recent episode was amazing. You’ll understand when I say there was one particular scene which I rewound and watched at least 10 times. Being on a paid cable channel they can get away with a lot more blood and gore and oh my goodness do they deliver.
TV is completely awesome at the moment. I’m so excited that there is more on TV than these ridiculously stupid reality TV shows. Cue American Idol, Survivor, X-Factor, Big Brother, etc. etc…

Can’t wait to catch the talking dead and the show next week!

I don't think Rick was seeing those flashes....that was supposed to simulate Shane seeing them as he turned.

I also don't think Carl would have ever shot his father and I think it only LOOKED like he was aiming at him in fear. In reality I think Carl was aiming at Shane the whole time. That kid's first instinct, horrible as they may be, is NOT to aim a loaded weapon at his dad.

Its airborne according to the comics, at least thats what I remember. So they have all been exposed to it and will rise no mater how the die.

Just watched Talking Dead tonight....ok...so does EVERYONE in this series have a British accent??

i haven't watch talking dead yet. however, X2 on your comment. I watched Leno or Letterman a couple weeks back and Rick was a guest. I don't know about you and i'm not exactly sure why but it definitely took something away from it for me. It didn't help that he seemed to be sissy-ish in real life. He kept being emarrased because his real name was Clutterbuck. however, it made me realize that he's a hell of an actor if Rick is nothing like the "real" man.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought he cut his hand before killing those zombies in order to smear his blood on the doorway as bait. The way the infection works in the comic is different than your theory, and it seems the TV series is going the same way, but who's to know for sure except the writers.

It wasn't specifically stated as airborne, or even if it's actually a disease or just the wrath of god, but it is pretty much set that if you're dead and your brain is intact, you will become a zombie. The zombie bite just kills you.

That was probably Shane's visions (despite being dead. I know). The same thing happened to Jim while he was alive and turning, but not Amy when she died. A bit of an inconsistency there.

I thought for sure that Carl was going to shoot Rick and had Shane not risen and moved towards Rick he very well may have.

Carl sure has toughened up a lot in this season, but I don't think he'd shoot his dad. Pretty sure he aimed at Zombshane from the beginning.

Shane, I thought I liked him, but I realized I just felt sorry for him. He couldn't get Rick out of the hospital; he lost Lori and Carl as well as the leadership role among the survivors despite being there to help them all up until Rick showed up; and there was nothing he could do about it. I don't even remember how or why everyone started following Rick instead of Shane. A better man would've not clung onto his best friend's family, and that's his weakness for letting it drive him crazy, but I still feel sorry for him. I really wanted him to give up that fight and just become a really useful, essential member of the group. Jon Bernthal is a good actor. It was great seeing him play Shane--only after The Walking Dead did I start to notice him in other productions, but they were all really minor, and he had weird hair.

Guess I'm just not used to it. The shaved head really fit his character, though.

Edit: Also, I wonder why the swarm of zombies nearby only reacted to Carl's gunshot and not Shane's.

It looks like the producers changed and they are working up a new cast mix. It is a needed move if they are ever going to get away from the boring soap drama that they had sunk to during the first half of the present season.

Prediction: the other camp is going to strike back to coincide with the mass zombie attack next week, and they will end up joining forces to kill off the zombie hord. The result will kill off half of the remaing cast and introduce 6-7 new characters.

Among the dead will be:
Lori - Who wants to deal with a pregnant woman - most of the other conflicts have been fully resolved
T-dog - this has been just a throw away character
Carol - another dead end character and the simpathy angle has played out
Beth Green, and Hershel - these two will go down with the farm

I don't know about Carol, they seem to be leading up to something between her and Daryl.

I think Carol is another that will go pretty soon. Her character just doesn't offer ANYTHING to the group/show. Kinda like a T Dawg that is just...there. While the daughter was missing she provided some emotion but other than that...a total flusher...

As for the finale I don't think we will see anything of the 30 man crew arrive on the scene. I'm guessing it will either be foreshadowed or it'll start next season.

Or... OR....... OR...... the other group is the horde of zombies!

Yep, Lori is the only real issue left now that Shane is gone..

They could kill off that Self Centered drama queen anytime, sooner the better.

Lori is pretty stupid. When she decided to go to town, after Rick, Glenn, and Hershel, she made so many errors. Let's take this small revolver, tell no one that I'm going, read a map while I drive, and take no back up weapon.
She is always concerned about her kid, but lets him run around like everything is normal.

They have to kill off certain characters for the plot to evolve. If only Walkers died, it would just be a show about killing Zombies, then it might as well be a video game.

Yeah, she still acts like Lori home maker drama queen stirring up trouble like the world is still the same.

Dumb as a fence post at best and defiantly more trouble than she is worth.

They should kill her off soon so maybe Rick can hook up with someone else that has more than 2 brain cells to rub together.
