Walking dead (SPOLERS GALORE DON'T READ)

My guess is the Terminus crowd didn't think to bring the Busse with them to the church during the first half of season 5. Whoever called dibs probably wound up walker chow, or it was lost in the fire, so Daryl got stuck using what was grabbed when they escaped.

At least that's my theory on it.

I haven't been too concerned about the fate of the TGLB. There is so much happening in the 'TWD universe' other than what is in the scenes/episodes that there are plenty of plausible explanations as to why someone doesn't have the same knife. Someone mentioned that Carl's knife was a Laredo Bowie. I'm not really familiar with that company, so I'll have to check them out.

I would like to know who has the 'Blender Glock'. Couple of obvious suspects, but still...

It is a Cold Steel.

What he says probably has to be taken with a grain of salt, but in an interview Reedus said that after every season is finished being filmed, he steals one of the crossbows and takes it home with him. Whose to say he didn't swipe the Busse as well?

...On the "Dead" it was very cool to see the moment Carl and Rick were in the woods, towards the end of the episode, and they were facing the walkers...

That's TWD's version of a game of catch between a father and son. A real "bonding" moment. That, and Carol's "junior league" speech were my favorite scenes this week. I could totally see her baking some brownies then taking everyone out with her sniper rifle. What a great episode.

Oh, and Daryl's got to get another good knife. That prop knife is silly.

Anyone identify Carol's knife that is shown prominently in the opening credits of this season?

It's been in the credits since at least season 4. Just some cheapo, seems like it might be an Mtech.

Carl has the Laredo now, but it was Bobs before he died.

With how long we have to wait between seasons, I can't keep track when they make changes (or not) to the opening credits... :p

I know this is a stupid thing to bring up, but has anyone ever thought of the damage that punching through multiple skulls would do to these knife tips?

In context to the "cheapo" trench knife Carol uses... Wouldn't the tip have broken off or bent by now? They don't always go in through the eye socket or up under the base of the skull.

I'm okay with them punching knives through mushy zombies skulls. What drives me fricken' crazy is the constant resheathing of filthy blood and guts covered blades without cleaning them first. Both the sheath and blade would be in bad shape really fast if one did that in real life. C'mon! I need a healthy dose of reality in my fantasy stories!

Meh, they've already established that the bone in zombie skulls is about as hard as a watermelon. :p

One of my favorite (laughable) scenes, Hershel with his unlimited ammo shotgun :D

I counted at least 25 shots lol

Glad I'm not the only one who cringes every time they put a disgusting knife back in its sheath

Well the show is entertainment, it not supposed to be and isn't real life as there aren't any Zombies in real life.

That said I always enjoy watching. :)

C'mon guys... Do you really think this show makes such a small amount of money that they can't buy another one? They are using what they're using for some reason.

ETA - I'm guessing the reason is NOT "hey, let's take one of the most iconic blades on the entire show and replace it with something close. I'm sure nobody will notice."

You never know. To non knife nuts they really don't see a difference between $10 flea market specials and 5k custom Bagwell bowies

Yeah they're way too friendly with walker guts covering them. Personally I'd have a good pair of work gloves and a pack of baby wipes in my backpack. Honestly it's a little stupid how diety they allow themselves to be. Aside from the last few episodes when there was a drought, it'd be pretty easy to find a lake or stream to wash off in

Sure there are... Weren't the first zombie flicks satire about consumerism and that all encompassing appetite that supersedes good judgment, self-awareness, and self-preservation. The zombies are grazing all around us, they ARE us. :D
