Walking Dead TV show....

I have been wondering about this myself and it has yet to be addressed
At first, I thought Jenner had told Rick that Lori was pregnant but that turned out to not be the case. What was said will be revealed in the season finale.

I started watching the show before I knew there were comics but have since checked out each volume. They are a great read.

I have been wondering if they are going to bring back Merrell. That would be something if he is with Randall's Group....!!! I never thought of that.
I think we may end up seeing Merle again. It's not like the writers to leave a huge gap like that in the story. I don't think he will be the Governor though, but then again who knows. ;)

Same here. I didn't read the comics, but the concensus is that the deviation from them has already occurred.

My wife and I have watched it from the beginning. I stopped watching it 2 weeks ago. I has turned into a zombie soap opera and I lost interest.

My wife still watches it. She misses All My Children, so now she watches All My Zombies.

I disagree to an extent. The episode where Hershel's daughter was struggling with suicide was a little mushy & boring IMO,but it can't all be zombie slashing either. You need some drama & character familiarization in any show for it to be watchable.

He's probably the leader of Randall's group.

I think you may be right.

I wonder what it was that the Dr. from the CDC told him in the final episode of season 1.

I've been lurking on other forums about this show,& the general consensus thinks what Jenner told Rick was about the virus being dormant in everyone.

if you sit back and think about it, its very logical. if you remember the shock on Rick's face you know he had the "oh s--t we are screwed" shocked look. i remember that vividly. also it makes sense that it could be dormant and the only way it wakes up is a trigger. whether it be from a bite or you dying. perhaps this virus is mutating and the trigger list gets longer. who knows. i like the suspense of not knowing. bc in real life, IF this were to happen its gonna be the exact same.

The comic is different, but they are using the same basic plotlines. In the comic, as someone else already posted, Shane tries to kill Rick, but is killed by Carl. Maybe 20 or so issues later, Rick rides back to where they buried Shane, digs him up, and Shane is a zombie. They never went to the CDC in the comic, they didn't spend this long at Hershel's farm in the comic either. I heard they won't end up in the #$%^&)n next season. I don't have cable, and can't wait to see this season.

The virus is apparently airborn, and activates after death regardless of if you were bitten or not.

The show was good at first, but has gone downhill considerably. The last two episodes were almost unwatchable.

The comic is fantastic, but the show is quite a bit different.

as far as shane goes, i was under the assumption it was because of the knife used to kill him, was also used with previous zombies ricks killed. But then bringing back tdog and his bloody arm in the beginning of s2........maybe the corpses put on top of him were dry, and not bloody?

This was my guess if the Jenner theory is wrong.

Not that anyone likely cares but the price of early "Walking Dead" issues have went thru the roof since the show came out..The series is only 7 years old and good graded issue#1's are selling for over $1200 already..Great title but I know the TV series has driven up the price..

Good thing I have two copies of #1!

Ah, you suck:D i never got into that title when it came out..Wish I had..That one escaped me..All the marvel releases helped me out though..

Hey Kentucky, I have a copy of #1 and it's so awesome to see that Rick and everybody is from Cynthiana. I grew up in Paris, and Cynthiana is just a stone's throw from there. In the comic, they drew the Harrison memorial hospital, and some other landmarks. Had Cynthiana on the cop cars and everything. Awesome!

Not sure where they were in the tv show the first few episodes, but I like to think that Rick was walking around the zombie filled streets of Cynthiana.
