Great pics Fes, you're a lucky man :) And well-heeled as always

Great pictures FES, that first one warmed me up it is 23 F (-5 C)feels like 12 F (-11)Cdegrees. The rock when I first looked, I thought horse, but after a few seconds the goat pops out, either way cool rock.

Thanks for sharing,
Pete

Awesome Fes. Thank you for that breath of fresh air that you give us with your outdoor photos of our Lovely New Zealand..

Excellent pics, thx for sharing!
I like the Ruger #1 - what caliber, pls?

That rock aint no goat or horse; its clearly a T-Rex! :D

I've got to hand it to ya FES, when you walk the dog, you really go walk the dog!

And yeah, what's the Ruger chambered for? inquiring minds want to know.:)

Carl.

Very nice! I'm jealous. :)
Yes, please tell us about your shooter! (as long as it's not going to irritate the mods...)

Wow... what a wonderful scenery. Thanks for sharing it :)

I´m sure, that were really great days.

Thank you all for the comments.Carl,Puuko and Bladescout my musket is chambered in 25/06,it shoots flat and hits hard. I reload with 117 grain Taipan projectiles. It is all you need for any game here in New Zealand....And my lovely damascus drop point did a splendid job on the deer. FES

SHRAP....Thats a very good point and one of my biggest fears is my dog being shot accidentally due to his colouring (his son was shot last year due to this). If you cant find a deer to shoot in our bush, you havent left the carpark....... FES

Nice old Ruger #1 and knives; you've done well on all:thumbup:! Thanks for sharing and especially the scenery!

More great pictures of another Adventure, FES.

... Did you have to then carry the "inevitable" the 3-4 hours back out to the 4x4?!

"...trying to hone his skills as a deer dog" What did you mean by this? do you use the dog to track or run the deer?

I'd love to hear a general overview of hunting regulations and styles in your country. Nice no.1 is it surpressed? (I thought I'd read somewhere that hunting with suppressed rifles is common in NZ) ?

Anyway, great pictures all around.
