Hello all, today here is like this, cloudy, snowy, but not too cold despite the snow

I had some friends here around

Anyway, two days ago was like this: sunny, windy and really, really cold. Look at these guys, they are trying to catch some warm air from the chimney

Alps are just beautiful in my opinion

So, I’m walking whit my Northfield 748212

Its’ a compact folder, easy to carry, but still big enough to a comfortable handling

It has a good cutting efficiency

I like so much the jigged bone handles in this knife, especially in the sunny light they are simply beautiful

Fit and finish of the 748212 are nearly perfect, and this conform to me the high quality of GEC knives

Time to continue my hike in the middle of the hills

Ah, I envy these pigeon some way, some corn in a snowy field and they are fully satisfied

I'm happy anough whit my Northfield anyway, a good addiction to my small collection

Ciao,
Alfredo

NIce pics, Alfredo :)

The #74 has been on my list since it has been released. Thanks for showing this nice pattern :)

The weather north and south the Alps can be such different - just a few kilometres away from each other... we had about 40 cm of snow at around -20° Celsius at night... nice to see the Alps from the other side anyway :D

Alfredo,
as always, nice pictures and review.
There is one question I have for you (and for all the #74 users) how comfy is the knife in use with the wharncliffe blade closed? Cause from the pictures, the blade seems to sit quite high considering the handle shape.
Thanks again for showing a bit of our mountain views (obviously, I can't )

Thank guys!

@Humppa: same here, 30 cm of snow and -15°C during the night 2 days ago, now it's considerably warmer (+1°C), but cloudy.
Here below the place where I live (red point):

Another enjoyable thread, and that's a very nice knife you had with you. Thanks Alfreddo :)

Fausto, good question: for sure, the knife would seems to be more comfortable in the hand whitout the wharncliffe blade closed at all...anyway, luckily, the shape of the back of the blade is curved, so at the end of the day it meet exactely the shape of the four fingers when the knife is hanlded, so it's not unconfortable at all.

Wonderful pictures as always!! Someday, over the rainbow, I will take a walk in your neck of the woods. Maybe down through Italy and over to Corsica. What beautiful bone on that 74.

Just couple days ago it was winter, now its annoyingly warm for this time of year,
hopefully next week i will take a walk with Tidioute 74,
i was little bit worried about comfortably using knife, but that pattern was to good to pass ;)

Nice to see that #74 made it all the way to Italia, Alfredo!!
Such beautiful country, and a nice knife to enjoy it with.
I am curious - Have you had the opportunity to show your GEC knives to knife makers in Italy. If so perhaps they have made comments you can share with us!!??
