Alfredo: Are you near Merano? A couple times over the past few summers my family and I drove from Austria over Paso Robles down into Merano for the day during our summer trip to the Alps.

Alfredo,

I always enjoy your walks; thanks for continuing to make time for pictures and descriptions, so we can come along. :)

The bone on your #74 is spectacular.

Nice to see that #74 made it all the way to Italia, Alfredo!!
Such beautiful country, and a nice knife to enjoy it with.
I am curious - Have you had the opportunity to show your GEC knives to knife makers in Italy. If so perhaps they have made comments you can share with us!!??

Hello Charlie!
Well, still not the occasion to show some of the GEC to any italian knifemakers, but on the next issue of the magazine "Lame d'autore" http://www.lamedautore.com/ where I write, there will be an article about Great Eastern Cutlery, his present and his history, and of course his knives.
I need to say anyway, IHMO the top end quality of GEC is not easy to meet for both cutleries and knife makers in every countries.

Is it working?

You're certainly energizing the American "passionates" in the meantime. ;)

Well, I'm at the beginning of this effort, results will be evident (if any) in the future 12 months or so. I wrote articles about GEC Cutlery, Barlow knives, Case Eishenower and similar subject, and they will be published on "Lame d'autore" in the next issues. Hope this help italian readers to love the American traditional folders, at the moment in fact they knows and love especially Spyderco, Benchmade, Emerson, and similar. I like them too, awesome products, but I guess there is a room, in Italy, for traditional american knives.

Wow, Alfredo-- those are worthy efforts.

Good for you, and I hope the results are encouraging.
