Hah! You should have been wearing your Kevlar skivies if you've been hauling all those around in your drawers!
BTW, how do you like the Sundang from Kris Cutlery? I've thought of getting one, and maybe a Pinuti.
The sundang is a nice piece. I bought it 2-3 years ago from our own DeathDancer. The leather scabbard will rust it if left in, so you want to store it out of it. It's well made and reasonably accurate in design. The kampilan sword (3rd from bottom on right) is one of the new CAS Iberia offerings in it's Philippine line. The blade is thin, but tough, made from L6 steel. Beautiful kamagong wood. The Kris Cutlery blade is better quality overall.
Yiterp, it's easy to do. Just oak wood from your home improvement store, a couple of drill bits, and a can of spray lacquer. Some people worry about the tannin in oak corroding the steel, but I've had no problems.
Yvsa, if you ever come back east, you're always welcome.
Yoippari, that sword stand is neat. Something like that, attached to the wall is just what I need. Back to the drawing board!
Thomas, if a bucket is good enough for Bruise, it should be ok. I just outgrew my bucket.
