This one has a 9 1/4" long damascus blade with a random pattern and pressed with uncle Al's "Texas Wind" dies. It is hollow ground on a 4" wheel.

I wish there were a picture of the handle frame inside but it is milled from one piece of 1018 for the rear bolsters. The fileworked spacers and cream colored mammoth ivory is assembled and glued for the last time.

The guard and spacers are milled and filed to fit with no alignment pins. The 2plates are used to give the guard a stop at the shoulders and for my logo. I still need to pin everything together and dome the pin heads. The finial nut is a corby bolt and is shortened and reslotted now.

This knife is on its way to Ken Hurst for engraving. I cant wait to see what he does to it.

Thanks for looking

If I ever get the time for a trip forget Chicago, I'm coming straight to your shop. ;)

Great knife as always, thank for sharing Bruce.

You're welcome anytime Patrice. Come on down.

Great work as always Bruce.
Could you describe how you drill holes in blade for handle pins?
Thank You
Mark

Thanks a bunch for the offer Bruce. And of course you wont come here to visit my shop but if you ever take a trip to Montreal my door is open and you'll have to let me take you out for supper. I know a great restaurant in the old town that serves the best surf and turf you've ever had. Fillet Mignon, lobster... draped with a delicious béarnaise sauce. Darn now I am hungry. ;)

Thanks again for sharing your work in such details with us mortals. :D

Sweet blade as usual. Is it just me or do you have a have a huge set of balls to set your almost priceless work on pavers without protection for pics?

Being where you live, shouldn't this knife be called an Onion Sticker?
The patterns in the steel look great with the knife shape.

Fantastic piece Bruce! What a fine display of craftmanship!!!

AG, Bruce is referring to ladder pattern dies that have a lazy W-curve instead of the standard, straight rung ladder. They are made and sold by Uncle Al Lawrence. When pressed into the billet they give the lazy W-curve pattern you see in Bruce's dagger. (I'm not Bruce, but I have a set of the same dies.) ;) :)

Edited to add, here's a picture of the dies from Al's website... The Texas Wind pattern is the 2nd from the right. Hope this helps :)
