Walmart Knife Question

The situation is worse for Buck at the only other retail outlets I've seen Bucks at other than the big box Bass shop. One is Jimmy Johnson's favorite big box home improvement store. Still a good collection of Leatherman. The Case Sodbuster Jr remains and a few other Case. They are down to a single Buck, a blister packed stockman of some sort. Lots of CRKTs, house brand and off brand knives like Appalacian.

Better selection of knives can be found at the backpacking stores; one of which is a widely recognized coop and the other a regional store from our own Eastern Mountain. Leatherman, a few Victorinox, a selection of Benchmades and of course, Gerber. Not a Buck to be found.

I got a real nice 110 at Wal Mart when I was in Colo Springs a couple yrs back...$25.99, and it is one of the prettiest handles on any of my 110's....also came with a nylon sheath which seems to be real nice quality. Fwiw, I think I paid about $12 for a new leather Buck 112 sheath at a knife specific shop in a mall near where I lived and the 110 leather sheath was about a buck more (no pun intended) :->

Typically all the one's I've been to have always had a 110 and a 119 and usually had as many or more U.S. made Bucks then the China made.

I went to our local one "W" big box store yesterday....

US made:
110
Paklite Skinner
Bantam
Slimline

Imported:
Solo
Trio
Solo/Trio Combo pack

Nice to see the US ones outnumbered the Imported :)

But I wish they carried some of the models on my wish list!

Went to the sporting goods store too, the one with the name similar to "Large#"
They had the Vantage Select and some Bantams. Also an imported combo pack.
They did have 2 omni hunter/ paklite caper combo setups on clearance, but they were both super dirty from handling, and not really what i am looking for....so I passed em up....

PM me. I'll tell you how to get to a shop in Lakeland. If he doesn't have what you're looking for, he'll order it if available.
