I am probably exaggerating when I call this the world's weirdest walnut but it is some of the most unusual stuff I have seen. Every piece has great coloring and extra intense burl figure. These sets of scales are all cut oversized and were professionally stabilized by K&G.

I used to believe that you should not stabilize walnut. What I had seen turned dark and the figure was diminished. When I tried K&G with the walnut I was impressed how the colors stayed true and the figure maintained it's flash. I really like this stuff.

Some of the scales may have small open eyes and a few have a couple small white specks. If you have any of these occur within your handle area they are an easy fix with a couple drops of CA glue. I am so sure you will love this wood that it comes with a No Questions Asked, Money Back Guarantee.

I am going to stop the insanity and not buy any of this because I've been on too much of a spending spree. But I wanted to say that I agree about the walnut. I got the stabilized Walnut crotch block yesterday and am amazed the the stabilizing did not diminish the figure!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :cool:

Greg,
These 2 that you picked are burl that was cut perpendicular to the outer surface of the burl. This way you get really dramatic flamed figure. I think you will really like this stuff.

The ones you picked were cut parallel to the outer surface of the burl. This way you have real cool eyes and bubbly burl figure. They will look great on your knives.

I can't decide which look I like the best.
