Thread is closed now. Everything has been sold or resawn. Thanks everyone.

I just got these today from a guy who wanted to trade for some maple burl. He got these pieces a little over 2 years ago from a neighbor who makes gun stocks. (He had no idea how long ago they had been cut) It feels dry but to be safe I would let it sit indoors for another year before using. There are a few minor checks on the surface of some pieces. Much less than would be expected on pieces this size.

No free re-sawing on these pieces. I priced them cheap so you could cut them yourself and pay less than half what this wood would normally cost if already cut.

These pieces are only available thru the weekend. I broke my bandsaw and am waiting on a part that will arrive Monday. I will be cutting any unsold pieces.

Because of the size shipping in the US will need to be USPS Parcel Post, UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail based on your address. Cost will probably range between $10 and $30 depending on how far away you are and how fast you want the wood to get there. I will list the estimated shipping weight for each piece so you can check USPS.COM or UPS.COM to get an idea of the cost of shipping to you from our zip code of 97531. I will only charge actual shipping cost.

When you decide which ones you want, Just Post "I'll take #s....." and I will mark them sold for you.

Man those are some pretty crotches, my wife hates it when I look at crotches. She thinks I got enough, but I figure you can never have too many crotches.

weirdly enough, "walnut crotch feathers" was my nickname in high school.

Let's try to be more serious now. :D Pour guys trying to sell some stuff.

I'm having fun here too!
You should have seen the look my wife gave me when I told her I got some really nice crotch feathers. I am ok with cutting these into blocks and selling them individually. There had been a few who mentioned they liked to get big pieces so they could cut them to give the look and figure orientation they liked. Just thought I would give them first shot at these. This wood is from gunstock blanks that were just a bit off from what the guy normally sells. His blanks start at $500 and go up from there. These are just a small fraction of that price. As usual, my photos only give a hint how nice this wood is.

These blocks are amazing. I'll take # CW3 please.
Zip code is 22150 for shipping estiamte.
Thanks,
Kevin

I'll take this- been thinking about making a kitchen-knife block and that baby is it! Zip is 98126 and it can come here SLOWWW to save $$. Thanks!

dangit, you're going to bankrupt me!
i'll take cw4.
my zip is 79109.
i don't mind slow shipping.
can you bundle it with the redwood burl i picked out?

I calculated shipping for the 3 that have been selected so far. Cost difference between Parcel Post and Priority mail has been only a couple dollars. Plus with Priority you can track the package and it actually arives.
