Just completed this knife after starting it approx. 7 months ago.After I ground the blade it was put away waiting for the perfect piece of ivory to come along.It arrived and the specs are below.

Knife OAL; 15 inches
Blade;440c stainless hollow ground with false upper edge.Sanded to 2000 grit and polished to mirror finish.File work on spine.Blade length 9 7/8 inches.Blade thickness 3/16.Nickel silver guard

Handle;Fossil Walrus Ivory.Black Palm behind guard & on pommel.Brass spacers with file work and filed finger slots.

This Bowie has a fantastic balance and feel in the hand.Please excuse my photos.They do no justice for this knife:confused:Knife will come with a sheath when completed

Was asked for a few more photos and also about the guard.The guard idea came from a old knife I had laying around a few years ago.I did a wax up of the guard and casted 10 of them.Five in nickle silver and five in brass.They came out of the curcible pretty rough so there is a lot of finish work to do on one.I will be doing some more sometime so if anyone is still interested I will post

Ray, this is a beautiful knife, very nicely done. Someone is going to be very happy with it.
