Decided to put this back up on the board with a few changes.Walrus are big,fat and heavy animals.That"s what you get with this Bowie...a big heavy Bowie that is balanced perfect.Walrus ivory handle deserves a Walrus looking at you so I scrimshawed a Walrus on the handle.Comes mounted on a polished piece of maple with the tip of the walrus tusk holding the blade.The butt end of the tusk is holding the handle.

OAL of knife 16 1/4 inches
Blade 10 1/4 inches 15N20 & 1095 hollow ground and blued with file work.Blade thickness 1/4 inch57-59 hardness.
Handle Fossil beach walrus ivory with water buffalo spacers.Guard and pommel faced with brass and file worked

That's one fancy looking knife there Ray . I like the stand for it . You should do a brass plate for the stand with the knife material list and your name .
