With so many nice bowies being posted, I thought I would put one up also. This is one I finished recently, it has an 11 1/2'' W2 blade, damascus fittings (gaurd and spacer) and a 5'' fossil walrus ivory hanlde with a single gold pin. Now the shape is a little different (less ABS like) so not everyone will like it, Thanks for lookin :p

Nice loking bowie Don! Great Hamon!

It's a shame to waste walrus ivory like that, it could have made some nice folder scales!
Yea Chuck, I've cut up alot of bowie handls for folder scales over the years, it's scary now that I think about it :p

I like that blade. It looks like something Hill or Tai would do....

Great work, as always, Don. Me likes.

Way to keep that bowie train chugging along Don - nice one! VERY cool hamon.

That thing is smok'n Don! :)

Nice and pointy, read sleak... and the hamon is icing on the cake! :D

They're going to get on us about that ferrule/spacer thing aren't they? LOL

Let's see some more!!! :D

I stopped by to look at that one many times during the Guild Show. The pictures do not do it justice. The hamon had so much going on it was like watching clouds change shapes in the sky.

Inspired I Love it.Completely.
your distincyive shapes is what I love most about your work Don..

is the heal of the handle or butt filled or capped?

Thanks guys for your kind words, much appreciated.

Ran - no cap or butt plate, just ivory. I was going for clean and simple with this one but a butt cap/plate would look good.

Regards, Don

What else is new...another fantastic Bowie by Don? Ho Hum zzzzzzzzzzz NOT!

There might be someone else consistantly creating so many outstanding Bowies, but I am not aware of them.

The hamon and handle material on this one are right off the scale, imho.

I got a chance to meet Don at the Guild Show and took a look at this Bowie. All I can say is "WOW". I saw alot of great knives but this one really stood out.

Nice meeting you, Don.

simply amazing. Love the blade and the hamon looks like ice floes, so it adds to the nice walrus theme.

I really like the overall look and flow of the knife. I love the clip and point and it goes without saying the hamon!
