Don't worry about it conforming to someone else's preconcieved notions.
Frankly I'm glad to see a knife with such a slender point. It seems these days everyone wants to make stout drop points and such, with no regard for penetrating abilities.

Way to go Don, another fantastic Bowie. In my mind this one is fairly deceptive, at first look its clean and simple, but on closer inspection I see a few unusual and nice touches. For example the upward arc on the choil, and the subtle curve on the spin.
