Awesome, John! Love your damascus, luscious ivory and super P. Long clothes. Buddy shows it off well. Great work all over the place!

You do great work and build fantastic knives, John.
This is a perfect example.

Image captures it brilliantly, Buddy.
...and sheath is as expected from Mr. Number 1 Sheathmaker,
Paul Long.

I Like it. The damascus is well thought out as is the whole knife sheath and photo. The little carving along the edge of the butt cap is a nice touch.

I always like a reference on page 2... :)

John, you'll never have to reconvince me your work is good. This one in particular, looks like it will be around for a few thousand years. Wow!

So warm, and so elegant.

The photo uses dramatic perspectives. The sheath is particularly compelling.

Buddy, am I seeing a red/white/blue with stars theme? I like how you decided to forget the bleeding out the side and just let the butt emerge out of the darkness.

Well done, all.

YOWZA!!!!!

Me likey! :) :D

Gorgeous piece my friend! :) (definitely museum quality in line, materials, and workmanship).

Well,

The knife, Paul's "new style" diamond sheath, and two 8 1/2 x 11 prints of Buddy's photo arrived in the mail today, after the trip from Florida, to Texas, to Colorado, (in a blizzard), and back to sunny Fl. Hey, no problems with the ivory!

I've got to say, Paul keeps exceeding himself. This sheath is fantastic. Buddy's work looks even better in a print than on a monitor, and I'm happy to have my mitts on it all.

Thanks to all who looked at and commented on this one. Two weeks from now we'll be in Little Rock with the whole mess on the table.

See you there.

John

...no problems with the ivory!
Whew! I rushed that one out of Denver just in front of that bone cracking freeze the last couple of days (36 below 0 at my place in the mountains and about 17 below in Denver - scary cold!)
