Walrus/Damascus Dogbone Dagger-P.Long Sheath-B.Thomason Photo...NEW PHOTOS ADDED

Projects like this really add to the world of custom knives.
I saw bits & pieces as this knife was coming together and knew it was to be very special
but even beat my expectations.

Congrats to John, Paul, Buddy and especially to the lucky owner.

John, that is insane nice!

I can't wait to see you and it in San Antonio...

A long-time client ordered a Walrus Dogbone, and requested this Explosion-wrapped Twist Damascus pattern.

At Blade, I was asked to give a seminar at the ABS Expo in San Antonio the 27th of this month.

I'll be taking this 10 1/2 inch, 1084 & 15n20 Damascus dagger, with Walrus ivory Dogbone handle, Damascus and Sterling silver fittings to the show for delivery.

I'll also be taking most of the drawings, templates, and special tools used to make the knife.

It's a take-down, and we'll be using it to talk about how to "Do the Dogbone."

Paul Long made the fantastic sheath, with the "Hornback" Alligator insert.

Buddy Thomason took the dramatic photo.

See you in San Antonio,

John

Holy S**T:eek:

That is all.

Absolutely fantastic! I like it, I like it, I LIKE IT! :D Awesome, incredible, amazing knife! Great job my friend!

Hey, thanks guys.

(Scott, this is a 4-bar, with the bars welded 2x2, cut and bent, and center welded like the D-guard blade.)

Also, big news.. we may have more Buddy Thomason photos of this baby coming, Montages, and ones with dancing girls!

John

Outstanding work on all aspects of the knife. I'm really digging the the details on the guard and finial.

Where do I get my front row tickets for the class? :D

Buddy just sent the final versions of his beautiful work photographing the knife and sheath.

Here's the "Solo shot."

John

Absolutely fabulous. There are outstanding details everywhere on this knife! Beauty.

Paul's sheath is perfect for this package. Love the inlay.

Buddy, you captured this knife and sheath in a way that really enabled my ability to appreciate it...Thank you.

John,
I already posted on this, but it is worth another, the damascus and the total package are great.

I had the opportunity to handle this yesterday in San Antonio, and it's even more stunning in person. The "Explosion-wrapped Turkish Twist" is mesmerizing :)

John is also an incredibly nice guy -- very patient in explaining construction details to a rank amateur!

Dang Mr White!
You keep making knives that look like they should be in a museum with knives made for the Royalty.
I really look forward to being able to see your knives in person one day.

Not bad...

Just kidding!

Absolutely fantastic looking dagger!

Kind regards,

Jos
