This one is forged by Walter Sorrells from W2 and has a really amazing and breathtaking hitatsura hamon. Blade is SHARP and lively and just recently polished by Walter. Walter, is btw, such a nice and helpful guy (and quite an intellectual also). I do not believe he takes commissions right now (but may be wrong) but as with all traditional blades, there is a long waiting time for polishing and fittings.
Nagasa is about 13", and the blade has a nice sori (I like it that way). At that length, that makes it an o-tanto or a ko-wakizashi. I'd like to view it more as a o-tanto. Fittings are done in a formal aikuchi style, with the sakura mon menuki complementing the white same. Fittings are custom made, I believe - white rayskin tsuka, the other fittings are buffalo horn. Habaki is copper with a "meteorshower" scratch pattern. Saya is lacquered black.
You can see all sorts of effects in the hamon, but I'll leave you to savour the pics (taken by Walter) and identify them yourself
Priced right for a quick sale. and you'll be very happy with the blade when you see it in person.
XXXshipped, paypal fees included - I would prefer Western Union for this - it puts cash in my hand, and will reduce by $50 if you can pay via Western Union.
