Wanna lose lots of weight?

Welcome back, Michael. It's been a long time. Some folks thought your post was spam but I told them I know you from way back.

BTW, you'll be happy to know that the little L6 knife you made me years ago is still getting a lot of use in the kitchen utility drawer for opening boxes and packages.
Aw man, I was just coming in to ask if the diet was spam based.

Blues Blues has a very steady diet of spam and he nukes the heck out of it.

as an update and may encouragement for others.
I've been tracking my caloric intake daily since my last post in March. I'm down to 2,000 calories as my daily target and am almost at 40 lbs total lost.
I had surgery in mid july, so no exercise since then, but have still manage to cut about 7 lbs in that time frame with just diet.
Looking to get back on the exercise bike next week

That's a fantastic, simple strategy. The key has to be the sustainability of eating what you like but less of it. 172 pounds is life-changing stuff, well done.

For anyone struggling to even start a massive reduction like that because the hunger is too intense, or for those who hit a wall (like the OP mentioned), the compounded route can make that huge initial calorie drop way more manageable.

You can look at the different pricing models and see if it’s feasible for your budget on the Minimal website. It’s a good blog to read so you don't get ripped off

After college football I joined the Army. I started basic training at 246. I was in the best shape of my life. Graduated basic training at 240 due to the lack of calories. I have been 230 ish ever since, however, at 54 I need to trim down. I do walk all day for my job but I still like to eat like I’m still at the training table. 😉
I have read this thread and I am going to give it a try. Wish me luck.
