Outstanding! That big fighter / bowie is the stuff my knife dreams are made of. Congrats!

Roger

I agree with the other guys, fantastic. The handle groves have very distinctive round end I have never seen that before. I like it.

You may say I need to look around more. However I have seen plenty with grooves and wire just none that good.

Hey! How'd I miss this thread? I saw Bruce's knives in person and they are sweet to say the least. A well deserved Master Smith's ranking I think! Bruce is a very nice person to talk with too.

Fantastic, Bruce. Truly beautiful. I don't know what else to say other than, You Deserve It! Your knives are always a pleasure to stare at and say...."some day".

;) Congrats again.

Nice Work Bruce: You not only passed the test, you challenged it. Roce it to the buzzer and then some!

You Guys are too kind! But really thanks for all the nice compliments. I actually did have a gun/knife ready and asked Jerry Fisk if it would be allowed to be judged as one of the 5. He needed to confer with the board of directors and would let me know the day of the judging. They agreed that "Although we love the pistol knife combos that some makers are doing, We want knives only for the ABS judged levels." Well darn at least I was ready with the 6th knife as a back up. It was the Lawman dagger "JUSTICE" that Joss purchaced. See the handle? I was told by most of you guys to not take any chances by carving stag on a judged knife. I like the way it came out but was worried after most everybody said not to do it. Anyway it got allot of atention as not too many jigged handles anymore. My first attempt at jigging. I may do another maybe on a set of pistol grips. I wonder how ivory would look with a fine jigged pattern:eek:

I love that jigged handle. I think that there's quite a bit toi be done in that area as much of the jigged material I've seen looked kinda cheap and not very interesting...

Very Nice Bruce after making knives for a long time some of you show me just how much I need to learn. Just beautiful work!
