Wanna see my shop?

Hell no we dont want to see your roomy spacious shop with a wonderful view not stuffed into a garage shared with the wifes car.

Nice,

Hey Salem,

How were you able to stay way so long? I bet you're happy to be back working in that setup. Fantastic. Quick question, what kinds of things do you do with the torch in its holder?

All the best, Phil

I like that torch holder. I use it more in general smith work, like roses. When I'm going around the bloom with the torch, heating petals, I can quickly set the torch on that thing with out having to mess with turning it off, worry about where it's pointing, etc. That way I can get those tiny quick heats and get in there with needle nose pliers to bend and tweak before losing that orange. I also occasionally use it to set rivets (for roses, or attaching hooks to racks, joining bars, etc.) Since it's right mounted on the anvil, I'm good to go for getting the hammer on the work quickly. I also used to use it sometimes when I would edge-quench with the torch Ed Fowler style, although I no longer quench that way. Today I built a hardy hole holder/bracket that I bolted a 4" bench vise to so I don't even have to leave the anvil for small cold work like filing or hacksawing... Dude, Phil, I'm sorry to hear about your power issues with that press- if it's not one thing, it's another, eh? I have two generators in front of my shop, both of which work about half the time. And sometimes neither does. Like today. In the rain, 50 degrees out, with high winds.

Thank for the shop tour, and a look at your website. Since I am only about 50 miles away, maybe I can see it in person next time I'm through Tonasket.

Great shop! I especially like the target. I need to put one of those up in my shop so I can toss a knife every now and then and remember what all the funs about.
