Wanna test some custom knives?

Hey all, we are trying to get a makers challenge going over on WSS. We have plenty of makers that are in, e now need a group of testers! In a perfect world it would be nice to have three or more people so we can get different takes on the knives. Its no small undertaking as you will have to take pics and post results. Anyone having a gathering this Spring that might wanna do it?
 
I have a 3 day primitive survival coarse in early June and a 8 day camping trip in mid July if that will help. I would have multiple people with me who could help test out.
 
Chris, you might consider the Becker Gathering this spring. There'll be plenty of folks there who'd be willing to test knives and take pictures.

No dates set to my knowledge.
This past year was in May, however, and since Ethan is at SHOT and has his hands full lately, I doubt we'll know exact dates soon.
May not fit your timeline, but I thought I'd toss it out there.
 
I would be interested in that. Always wanted to go to a Beckerhead Gathering but did not know if I would be allowd since I no longer own any Becker's.
 
That would actually be a perfect forum for the challenge. Alot of different knife enthusiats to offer their thoughts.
 
There is also always the choice of a passaround here in the WSS forums. I've been a part of one before and it was good. Everyone, including the makers, seemed to enjoy it. Just a thought.
 
Provided the world doesn't end I will be at Ethan's for the Spring Gathering and would love to review some new knives.
 
The Beckerhead Spring Gathering sounds almost perfect for this! Perhaps we should start a thread in the Becker forum to gauge interest?

Weekend of April 13. We will also have Jerry Fisk in attendence, I can see if he can put together some tests for us. He knows a thing or two about these sort of things.....

Well......I just got off the phone with Ethan.

April is gonna be a busy month for lots of folks, our initial impression of April the 13th being the weekend, might have been premature....

Fisk is only available on the weekends of March 30th and April 13th, and I would love to have it on either of those weekends, just simply because one can learn a lifetime of knife knowledge, by simply being in Fisk's presence.

Ethan loves the idea of hosting the Custom Knife Makers Test this spring at the Gathering.

If ya'll want, I will get a rating system down, so we can keep this as official as possible. I've followed the custom knife makers test every years since I been reading BFC, and I think I could do a good job keeping it fair, and very precise.
